Dreamed of writing a novel?
Writing for magazines?
Don’t know where to start?
I know how that feels. I have been where you are now.
The first short story I ever had published, was when I was 23 years old. I forget now what the heading of the story was, but it was for ‘She’ UK magazine. I wrote about how I felt. Simple as that. And how I felt was angry. Angry at how women were being treated in the Catholic Church. I wrote from my heart. I wrote from experience. And it was published. And I got £50 for it, which was a lot of money then. What thrilled me the most, apart from seeing my story in print in a well known magazine, was the feedback I got from it. Women sent letters to me via the magazine, giving me their own stories and this encouraged me to write more. Since then, I have written many short stories for magazines and anthologies, and to me, the foremost important thing about writing a short story, is that it comes from the heart.
I believe every person in this world has a book inside them. But it is difficult to get time to write a book. A short story … I know you have all written one in your life. Or thought of one, or one runs through your head every day. Let me show you how to get that story finished and printed, in a magazine, or the beginning of your own short story book. I would love to help you to do this.
